The Master Coach Certification Course is experiential learning at its best

Delivered by PHCI Coaching Director Erin Power this 12-week program provides a select group of students with live training, interactive exercises, role-playing coaching practice, and direct access to PHCI faculty.

This course is designed to provide the kind of real-time education and support that can only be delivered to a small batch of students a few times each year.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will have proven their true mastery of the art and science of health coaching and attained Master Primal Health Coach (MPHC) status and recognition.

The Master Coach Certification Course also prepares and qualifies Primal Health Coaches to take and pass the credentialing exam to become a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC).

The National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) is largely recognized as the industry authority for health coach board certification.

Our Master Coach Course has a track record of success with a 100% pass rate. That's right. Every Master Coach graduate that has sit for the NBHWC exam has the passed the exam and become NBHWC board certified.

The Master Coach Certification program is comprised of an in-depth online course, live training delivered via twice-weekly interactive webinars, exercises, assignments, group projects, facilitated coaching practice and graded coaching evaluation.

Twenty-four 90-minute live webinar education sessions delivered by course instructor Erin Power over a 12-week period. These interactive live teaching modules are designed to teach the concepts laid out in the online coursework, in a live, real-time online classroom setting. These jam-packed sessions will include an educational presentation, a Q&A session, and a group presentation, project, or coaching role play.

A 12-chapter online course comprised of 140,000 words covering the complete coach-client relationship and experience—from enrollment and intake on to coaching and finally on to client release. With topics including: closing the sale; goal setting and implementing action; motivational interviewing; self-determination theory; fostering autonomy; preparing the client for release.

Graded peer-to-peer coaching practice with detailed feedback from course faculty on what you did well, and where to improve. Throughout the duration of the course, you will complete a minimum of three practice coaching sessions, so you can learn by doing, with expert feedback from master coaches. You'll perform at least one practice coaching session during our live teaching modules, and will submit one recorded session for grading.

Access to a private Primal Health Coach Master Coach Facebook group. Within the group you can connect and bond with Master Coach peers and faculty. Learn from other coaches that are in the same or similar position as you. Get direct access to your course instructor and get expert answers to all of your questions. Be held accountable so that you stay on track from week to week and complete the course on time and with flying colors.

A series of exercises to help practically apply the learnings from each chapter. These non-compulsory exercises are designed to encourage hands-on learning of the concepts taught in the course. They include tasks like writing your purpose statement, crafting your coaching agreement, and creating your own signature method to overcoming sales objections. They also enable you to practice the art of coaching by encouraging you to think of ways to help your clients set goals, navigate behavior change, nurture their growth mindset, and more. Writer and Researcher

Lindsay Taylor, Ph.D., is the Senior Writer and Community Manager for Primal Nutrition, a certified Primal Health Coach, and the co-author of three keto cookbooks.

As a writer for Mark's Daily Apple and the leader of the thriving Keto Reset and Primal Endurance communities, Lindsay's primary job is educating people about the whats, whys, and hows of leading a health-focused life. Before coming to work for Primal Nutrition and Primal Health Coach Institute, Lindsay earned her Master's and Ph.D. in Social and Personality Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Her psychology background drives her approach to coaching, which emphasizes mindset as a key factor in overall health and wellness.

When you register for the course, you will receive login instructions to a password-protected portal with the online course as well as an assortment of educational materials, including digital books, audio books and instructional videos. The educational materials are yours to download or access online any time.

Enroll now and you will be granted access to the course two weeks before the course start date of September 8, 2022. You will then have immediate access to the first chapter: Goal-Setting and Implementing Action; and we encourage you to begin your studies immediately.

Each subsequent week, a new chapter will unlock. This gives you some flexibility to read ahead, without getting too far in front of the pace of our twice-weekly live teaching modules.

You will also be invited to join an online community of your Master Coach Certification Course peers. This community will be essential for support, accountability, and to set up your practice coaching sessions, which are required for graduation and qualification to sit the NBHWC credentialing exam.

Each chapter of the online course contains material to be read through in detail, and an exam that requires a score of 75% or better in order to pass. You'll dive more deeply into coaching concepts taught in the Primal Health Coach Certification course, as well as reconnect to some important health concepts that a board certified health coach needs to understand.

Each week we'll convene online for two 90-minute live teaching sessions. The first of these two weekly sessions is a live educational module, expanding upon what you learned in the online course materials. It includes an open Q&A and discussion panel, where you'll be encouraged to participate, ask questions, and interact with your instructor and student peers. The second of these two weekly sessions is applied learning: students will deliver a group presentation on the topic at hand, and demonstrate the coaching topic or technique learned in that week’s curriculum, in a coaching role-play demonstration. You will be expected to attend each of the live teaching modules. Concessions will be offered for those in alternate time zones and for occasions when you are unable to attend.

The final session of the course will consist of a review of the requirements and process to sit for the NBC-HWC exam. This course is an important step in that journey, however there are additional steps you'll need to take to qualify to sit the credentialing exam. We'll help guide you on your journey to board certification, so you can feel prepared to submit your exam application to NBHWC.

Upon completion of the course, including passing all exams and practical skills assessments, you will receive your Master Primal Health Coach certificate. This certificate, in conjunction with the PHCI health coach certificate, satisfies the educational requirements to sit for the NBC-HWC exam. (Please note that there are other requirements that you'll need to satisfy, outside of our course, in order to sit for the exam. You can learn more here.)

This is an excellent course, I am super happy with it. It was nice to get in with this group of human performance nerds and gym rats and just enjoy the topic and enjoy everyone's enthusiasm. A very good atmosphere was maintained throughout the course which is very rare these days! What a treat! Thank you.

The course has taught me so much. Most importantly, it has taught me to listen well, to be present and engaged, and ask open, thoughtful questions. It has taught me that the client knows their body the best, and that my role is to collaborate, support and, with their permission, educate and inform the client. The class was composed of a truly impressive array of experienced and thoughtful individuals, and instructor Erin Power exceeded all of my expectations!

This course has taught me the skill of coaching at a new depth. It is also great preparation for the NBHWC board exam. I now feel prepared to get my coaching business rolling.

Engaging, organized, thoughtful, incredibly informative—course instructor Erin Power, and this class, changed the way I see the world. I'm much more confident in coaching people, and now understand the value in having the client be in the driver's seat, to spur motivation and lasting change. The fellow students were an incredible group of people and I am very honored to be part of this cohort. I feel we will collaborate and refer clients to each other in years to come.
