When Dr. Ruth Hull began working as a homoeopathic doctor, she noticed something familiar in many of her patients. They knew what they should do for their health, but they struggled to make those changes stick.
“I realised that being a doctor is not just about giving information,” Ruth explains. “It’s about how we guide and support people. That’s what drew me to health coaching. It helps turn knowledge into action and gives clients the encouragement they need to make lasting change.”

Ruth Hull's story is proof that combining medical knowledge with coaching can transform not just your practice, but your life.
That realization led her to deepen her practice through the Primal Health Coach Institute, where she learned how to combine holistic healthcare with powerful behavior change strategies. The shift was transformative—for her and for her clients.
Living the Primal Health Coach Principles
Ruth doesn’t just teach the Primal Health Coach principles, she lives them.
After years of struggling with chronic fatigue, Ruth discovered that true healing begins with simple, consistent lifestyle changes. “When I finally changed my diet and lifestyle, my health began to turn around,” she shares.
That experience inspired her to write Drowning Lifeguards; a book designed to help others facing fatigue, burnout, and overwhelm. “It’s the book I wish I’d had when I was so exhausted,” Ruth says.
The foundation of her work and the first part of her book, was shaped by what she learned through the Primal Health Coach certification. “We can’t rebuild mental or emotional health without first creating strong foundations in physical wellbeing and daily healthy habits,” she says.
Coaching for Deep Healing and Resilience
Today, Ruth works primarily with clients dealing with fatigue and burnout. She helps them find the balance and energy they’ve been missing.
“Through my clients’ stories, I’ve learned about deep healing and human resilience,” Ruth reflects. “Those lessons shaped Drowning Lifeguards. My hope is that it helps others heal too—starting with the body, clearing the mind, and addressing the deeper emotional roots of exhaustion.”
Her approach is grounded, compassionate, and real—focused on helping clients create sustainable habits that restore vitality and confidence.

Ruth Hull's book, Drowning Lifeguards, is a gentle guide to help with fatigue, burned out or overwhelm.
Ruth’s Advice for Future Health Coaches
When asked what advice she’d give to anyone exploring a career in health and wellness coaching, Ruth doesn’t hesitate:
“Live the principles you teach. When you embody them, sharing with others feels natural and authentic. Working in health takes energy and presence, so look after yourself first. Eat well, rest well, move often—and your practice will grow from a place of balance.”
That’s the power of the Primal Health Coach Institute certification program—it teaches you how to live the lifestyle you coach, so you can lead with integrity and impact.
