Ryan Buckingham’s journey into health coaching began with his own experiences. Years of digestive challenges left him feeling frustrated and disconnected from his body. Then came one of life’s most profound tests: Ryan lost both of his parents within two years—his mother unexpectedly, and his father after decades living with Parkinson’s disease. The grief and stress profoundly impacted his health, leaving him overwhelmed, exhausted, and searching for answers.

PHCI graduate Ryan Buckingham shares his personal and professional story of healing and business success.
It was during this difficult period that Ryan discovered the Primal Health Coach Institute (PHCI). The simple, grounded principles of real food, natural movement, sunlight, rest, and connection helped him rebuild his strength, clarity, and sense of purpose:
“PHCI supported me in reconnecting with myself during one of the hardest chapters of my life,” Ryan shares. “It opened my heart to helping others who feel stuck in cycles of stress, digestive discomfort, and low energy.”
Today, Ryan’s life has shifted dramatically. He has a career that allows him to support clients with empathy and understanding, helping them regain control over their health and energy.
Applying PHCI Principles in Real Life and Coaching
Ryan’s approach blends the foundations of Primal health with cutting-edge tools in gut health and energy work:
“I start with simple, steady lifestyle habits—real food, daily rhythms, stress support, and gentle reconnection with the body. These principles are the base of every program I offer.”
Over time, Ryan incorporated bioresonance and frequency-based tools to help clients identify patterns in digestion, mood, and stress. Using personalized broadcasts that align with individual scan reports, clients often notice shifts in energy, clarity, and emotional wellbeing more quickly.
Ryan lives the principles he teaches. He gets morning sunlight, eats whole foods, spends time outdoors with his dogs, and prioritizes rest.
“These practices help me stay grounded so I can support others in a meaningful way,” he says.
Gut Health Expertise: The Gut-Fix Method
Ryan is also a graduate of the Gut Health Specialist Course, which has transformed the way he approaches digestive health. He integrates tools like L. reuteri yogurt, SIBO yogurt, and the AIRE device into client programs to rebuild microbiome balance and restore trust in food.
One client, struggling with severe bloating and food fear, used the AIRE device to pinpoint problem foods. With personalized adjustments and microbiome rebuilding strategies, her digestion improved within weeks—methane levels associated with SIBO normalized, and she regained confidence in her relationship with food.
“This work isn’t just about science,” Ryan explains. “It’s about helping people feel safe in their bodies, giving them clarity, hope, and small, actionable tools that make a real difference.”
Advice for Aspiring Health Coaches
Ryan encourages anyone considering health coaching to follow their calling:
“The world needs more coaches who lead with empathy. You don’t need to have everything figured out. What matters is your willingness to listen, learn, and walk beside people as they rediscover balance. This work is deeply fulfilling because you witness transformation every day.”
