For Swedish health coach Sofia Wallengren, helping people feel better in their bodies has always been more than a career path—it’s been a calling. Today, Sofia runs a thriving coaching practice, Mind Your Health by Sofia, where she’s supported more than 60 clients one-on-one, spoken at public events, and even coached internationally. But her journey into Primal Health Coaching began in an unexpected place: a family home in England, a spoonful of butter, and a birth story that changed everything.

Sofia Wallengren shares her story from au pair to transformative health coach.
Discovering a New Philosophy of Health
Growing up in Sweden, Sofia always knew she wanted a job where she could make a real difference. She studied to become a nursing assistant in college, drawn to roles that allowed her to support others directly. After graduating, she moved to England to work as an au pair—an experience that would completely transform the direction of her life.
Her host mother was nine months pregnant with her fourth child and, as it happened, a Certified Primal Health Coach. Her approach to food, wellness, and the human body was unlike anything Sofia had ever learned in conventional health education.
“I had been taught the traditional guidelines,” Sofia recalls. “Then I saw Judith in the kitchen… eating butter with a spoon! Everything she believed seemed like the opposite of what I’d been taught.”
Three weeks into her stay, Sofia witnessed something that cemented her fascination: Her host mother gave birth quietly and powerfully at home, alone, in the middle of the night. For 18-year-old Sofia, it was a revelation—proof of what the human body can do when supported by real-food nutrition, strong health foundations, and a primal way of living.
“That moment changed me,” she says. “My fascination for the human body skyrocketed.”

Everything Sofia Wallengren knew about nutrition was flipped upside down after her time in England.
A Calling Takes Shape
As Sofia lived, cooked, and learned alongside her host mother, she began noticing shifts in her own health. Her energy stabilized. Her skin improved. A knee scar she’d carried for two years finally started to heal.
Judith encouraged Sofia to deepen her understanding by sharing what she was learning—and so Sofia took her parents on as her first “clients.” The results spoke for themselves.
“I came back to Sweden after six months and suddenly had a waiting list of twenty people who had seen my mum’s transformation and wanted my help.”
At just 19 years old, Sofia launched her business—Mind Your Health by Sofia—and stepped confidently into her calling. Over the next four years, she coached more than 60 clients one-on-one, ran educational events, spoke to groups of truck drivers, hosted community dinners, and supported clients across multiple countries.
In 2023, she enrolled in the Primal Health Coach Institute, determined to solidify her knowledge and professional foundation. Life remained beautifully full—working as a nursing assistant, returning to England to au pair again, and spending three months volunteering in the Philippines through the Church of Sweden—but Sofia continued her studies and is now on the final stretch toward becoming a certified Primal Health Coach.
“I keep falling in love with coaching over and over again,” she says. “It truly has changed my life.”

Sofia’s Advice for Future Health Coaches
For anyone considering a career in health coaching, Sofia has simple, heartfelt wisdom:
“Go for it—let it take its time. Don’t rush, but be brave enough to step out of your comfort zone.”
She believes that every coach grows into their unique strengths through experience—and through showing up authentically.
“You won’t know at the start what your secret power will be, but it will come. And once you find it, people will be craving it. You won’t even know what you did, because it will feel so natural to you.”
